So you feel confident, comfortable and like yourself.

Want help choosing outfits? Let's plan it together.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it. Fall studio season is a wonderful time to create portraits that feel timeless and true.
One of the biggest worries I hear is: “I don’t know what to wear.” And I get it—choosing outfits can feel overwhelming.
The good news: you don’t have to figure it out alone. Studio portraits are meant to be a guided, boutique experience, and styling support is part of the process—so you can walk in feeling prepared, confident, and fully yourself

Start here: choose the feeling you want
Before we talk outfits, ask yourself:
- Do you want your portraits to feel soft and romantic?
- Modern and clean?
- Bold and editorial?
- Warm and classic?
When we know the feeling, outfit choices get simpler.
What to wear for studio: simple guidelines that photograph beautifully
Here are my go-to recommendations:
- Solid colors photograph best (cream, camel, black, navy, jewel tones)
- Avoid tiny busy patterns (they can distract and create visual “noise”)
- Choose textures (knit, linen, denim, lace) for depth on camera
- Think about sleeves and necklines that make you feel confident
- Bring 2–3 options so we can create variety
Fall-friendly color ideas (easy wins)
If you want a fall feel without looking “costumey,” these tones photograph beautifully:
- Cream, oatmeal, camel
- Olive, forest green
- Rust, terracotta
- Burgundy, wine
- Navy, charcoal, black
Shoes, accessories, and details
A few details that make a bigger difference than most people expect:
- Keep accessories intentional (one “hero” piece is enough)
- Clean nails and moisturized hands matter more than you think
- Shoes may show in seated or full-length poses—bring a pair you love

The boutique experience (so you’re never guessing)
Here’s what working together looks like:
- Inquiry
- Consult
- Styling guidance (we plan outfits with purpose)
- Intentional planning
- Session (gentle direction the entire time)
- Reveal/ordering
- Aftercare
